Road Use Requests

Canadian Natural operates and maintains a vast number of roads throughout Western Canada for oil and gas activities. These roadways also serve as important access for Utilities, Forestry, Agriculture, Mining, and Community.

ALL THIRD PARTY ROAD USERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THEIR ROAD USE REQUEST(S) THROUGH THE CANADIAN NATURAL ROAD USE REQUEST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

We would like to remind all road users that they are responsible for monitoring road conditions and travel based on their road use agreement, including restricting travel during adverse conditions.

Road Bans

Standard Road Ban periods are from March 15th to May 31st, however because road bans depend on weather conditions these dates can vary.

A Road Ban Exemption Form is required. Please upload the completed form with your request.

Approach Consent

If an Approach Consent is required, ensure to identify the Approach Area within the request.

Crossing Requests

Note this system does not handle Crossing Requests, please email to:  CrossingAdmins@cnrl.com.
