Investing in Communities

Steak and Shrimp fundraiser
Our Wolf Lake and Bonnyville Donation Committee worked together to host a Steak and Shrimp fundraiser. Thanks to them, we donated to nine local charities including the Lakeland Humane Society, Hive Youth Hub, and Special Olympics Lakeland.

Kids Are Worth It program
Jackfish and Kirby volunteers served breakfast and lunch to Lac La Biche students through the Kids Are Worth It program. This program aims to support students’ well-being by providing nutritious meals.

John N.A. Janvier School
We are thrilled to support schools in the areas we live and work in. Combined efforts from our employees and contractors, Comec and Seven Nations, resulted in a successful BBQ at John N.A. Janvier School where they served more than 350 burgers.

4 Wing Military Family Resource Centre Society
Canadian Natural continues to support the 4 Wing Military Family Resource Centre Society and Canadian Armed Forces. We helped assemble morale packages for deployed soldiers and sponsor a deployment appreciation dinner.

Local Community Highlights

Employee volunteering

Eighteen of our employees and contractors represented Canadian Natural at the annual Thermal Cup in Cold Lake. This hockey tournament raised funds for KidSport, a charity that allows kids to play sports without the financial barrier.

76+ community organizations supported

Lakeland Out of the Elements Shelter Society, Portage College, Dragonfly Counselling and Support Centre, Unity & District Fire Department, Lac La Biche Health Foundation, Northern Lights School Division, local food banks, and sports clubs.

Supporting education

“The fact that Canadian Natural is taking apprenticeships and helping me develop in the industry is a big thing. I get hands-on experience with the devices that I’ve learned about, [and] it’s nice to work with those instruments.”
