Canadian Natural has significant interests in the Northern North Sea (around the Ninian and Murchison hubs) and the Central North Sea (around the Banff/Kyle and Tiffany/Balmoral hubs). The Company averages a 80% interest in these producing properties and operates about 99% of the assets.
The United Kingdom portion of the North Sea is seen as an ideal exploitation opportunity. Canadian Natural opportunistically built its extensive operations in Western Canada in a similar business environment.
